AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: A lot of Real Life stuff happening this past week, but nothing that's interesting to report. While waiting at Dr app'ts I did get a lot of reading done. :D
Touching Nature: I mowed. I sweated. I showered and put on jammies. The end.
Book News: Because of Real Life stuffs, I got behind on writing up book reviews. I did get some that were on a deadline in, but I have an additional 5 to write (including tomorrow's Monster Porn Monday ones) and I'm closing in on several books, so those will need to be written too. Thanks to my September InD'tale reviews I am now only 29 books behind on my Goodreads Challenge.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I continue watching Bones on school mornings. We have yet to finish Season 1. With so many seasons, I think this show may well last until the end of the school year. lol Hubby & I are mainlining Buffy on his days off. We finished Season 3 and now that we started Season 4 we have also started Angel Season 1. We are watching the episodes using this handy dandy fan guide. And I'm very happy to report that we have reached the point where Spike is now a regular on Buffy. Yay!
At the Flicks: Nada
Cyberspace Playground: Nada. You have no idea how hard it was to keep that at nada. lol

Glove before love...I mean, look before click.
Your books look amazing. I'm thinking of grabbing some of those freebies that you got. They look amazing. Great haul and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
Thanks! I hope you had a great weekend. :)
DeleteThis time of year it's hard not to get behind. I've mostly been bingeing on Netflix. Enjoy your reads!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. We've been really bingeing on Netflix, too. I've watched more tv this year than I've probably watched the last couple years. LOL
DeleteYou're such an evl temptress, showing me that Spike comic like that ! How dearly would I love to get my hands on it, I envy you so much ! Those other books, even without Spike in them, look good - I read Hunter holidays last year, I think, and enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteYou know you want it. mwahahahaha I would love to have it for my very own, but I'll have to settle for the library copy for now. *sigh*
DeleteYou and your Buffy/Spike/Angel addiction cracks me up. :) I haven't even watched the whole Buffy or Angel shows...I get started and always make it so far and they drift off to something else...lol.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great books this week too! :) Enjoy!
Stormi
I'm completely obsessed. And shameless. LOL
DeleteThe Hawkeye gif makes me laugh every time. :D You're certainly mainlining TV; I feel like a slacker, lol.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you had so many doctor appointments but they are good for lots of reading.
Having watched the shows way back when, I thought that pic was priceless. :D I've watched so much tv this year! No wonder I'm behind on my challenge. Well, I had other stuff going on too, but the tv...*sigh* It's fun though!
DeleteThey are definitely good for getting reading done. :)
The Hawkeye gif made me laugh!! I love Spike and I have to get that series! I'm off to shop now, thanks for sharing this!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love all the Hawkeyes. LOL Spike is so awesome. *stares off into space, drools* You're welcome! Enjoy! :D
DeleteLots of new lovelies for you this week. I cracked up reading your nature comments. So true for me too. I did get some reading done while waiting for my son at the doctors office. First time I ever wanted it to take longer. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday post - http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/09/06/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-128-and-the-sunday-post/
I don't mind nature when it's not humid outside. I hate humidity! :)
DeleteOnce I've caught up with some shows I watch, I plan to start Buffy. I miss that show. Have a great week, you got some good looking books.
ReplyDeleteThis is my second go 'round with Buffy and Angel, but in my defense I only started watching this year. I was never interested when they came out. Watching with my husband, I'm catching stuff I missed the first time around. :)
DeleteOh yes, I loved Spike after he had the chip implanted - well I liked him before that, but he was more of a love interest after that!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
I loved Spike from the beginning. He was good when he was bad, he was better when he was chipped and he was awesome when he got his soul. He's had quite the interesting journey. And he's funny! Gotta love the humor.
