Diana (is this random or a reference to the Huntress?) likes to get up early and go swim in the icy cold water before her classes start. Why?! *shudders* Anyway, Ivy has taken to getting up earlier than Diana and swimming in *her* spot, so she moves to another. It’s not as nice as her other spot, but it’ll do. However, one morning, she hears rustling in the woods. Ducking down in the water to avoid any fellow classmates what she spots strolling out of the undergrowth is far, far worse than some pimply students. A Minotaur! And everyone knows how much a Minotaur loves to rut in tender juicy lady parts. If she’s quiet, maybe he’ll wander away. But it’s too late. He smells her and there’s no escaping a Minotaur loving.

I actually quite enjoyed this bit of naughty monster porn when I blocked out in my mind the bull head. I mentioned in another Minotaur book that I grew up on a farm. Cows/bulls are not attractive. Ever. Evereverever never! No! Except after they’ve been butchered and grilled to perfection.  But I don’t wanna hump my steak. *curls lip* So, I just pictured Miny as having only *slightly* bullish features, not anything like the cover. Ewwww! Otherwise, a few minor grammar/editing errors, not bad for MP and the sex scenes are decently written. I’d definitely read more by this author.

So, Lily tags along with an obviously randy couple to the middle of the woods and has to sit there while they get it on in the vehicle. Awkward. What did she expect to happen anyway? Moving on…so she goes for a walk, in the dark, in unfamiliar surroundings because that’s always a good idea. When she pleads to the stars about wanting some action of her own, some nymphs come along and show her a good time, before introducing her to their freaky friends who also show her a good time before the big climax (hehe see what I did there?) of popping not one, but all her cherries. Damn girl! When you decide to do it, you go balls to the wall, so to speak. Creative world with decent sex scenes, this could have used a bit more embellishment to push it over the edge. Overall though, not a bad read.

Kim is minding her own business when she’s kidnapped and taken to a village to become a virgin sacrifice to the King of the Night Gaunts. Only a virgin will do for the monstrous King. If he smells another man on one of his harem she will die and so will the man. Three of the women have been around for years. Kim is the newbie replacing the woman who dared screw another man. They take turns servicing King Redrick and in turn the night gaunts leave the village alone. A simple enough arrangement. Except for the monster sex. If I were one of the harem, I’d make sure I had all kinds of luxuries. Make those damn villagers pay for kidnapping me and forcing me to service a monster. It’s the least they could do.

So, Kim doesn’t put up much resistance to the kidnapping, the imprisonment or at being told she’ll have to spread her legs for a monster. The Night Gaunt is pretty callous when it comes to his harem and treats them like shit. I would have figured a way to get the hell out of there. Kim’s different though. There’s something about her that draws the King and he finds himself craving her. The writing is a bit simplistic and I hated the women behaving like simpering spineless pussies, but overall this isn’t a bad read. I did like how Beauty tamed the Beast. Bonus points because I’d never heard of a night gaunt before. I had to look that one up.
