AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

So, it has been a week without the kids and I'm wondering where the time went. We'll be picking them up in 3 days and probably a good thing, too. My mom called to say they were running out of things to do and it's so hot and muggy that outside activities are practically torture. The boys spend a majority of their time on their laptops and she wanted to know if that was normal. I had to laugh. Between the computer and the Xbox (which they don't have up there), yeah, that's pretty much normal especially when it's Hades personified outside. Down here they might go out to shoot their BB guns or practice with their throwing knives or bow & arrow, but again, they didn't take those things with them. Anyway, they're having fun doing stuff that we don't normally do here. Like eating out. Grandma is spoiling them. LOL

To sum up: Hubby & I have been thoroughly enjoying our time alone (especially the Supernatural marathons), but it will be nice to have the house full again. Though I am not looking forward to the long ass drive. I don't care what the Laws of Physics say, that trip gets longer every damn year and you can't tell me any different. :D

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Grandma's house is always fun and Grandmas over spoil :) My kids get spoiled all the time and my mom sees nothing wrong with it :)

How are you enjoying Supernatural? I love the show even though we missed last season because of a cable company switch looking forward the past season making it to netflix so I can catch up. I miss those Winchester Boys.

We go down the shore in the summer and I sometimes think the drive home gets longer every year. Maybe it's because I hate to leave!

Have a great week and happy Reading!!!

Grandmas are supposed to spoil their grandkids. :D

I'm not looking forward to the driving we'll be doing. Not at all. lol Thanks and you, too! :)

    1. They sure are! Though we are not enjoying Season 6 quite so much. lol

I grew up on a farm, so they have the run of what I used to have except my parents rent the farmland now and the barn doesn't have all the animals we had. :D Plus, it's so damn hot now. I don't rememebr it being this bad when I was growing up. No global warming, my ass.

      Thanks! :)

  4. Oh, isn't it great to send the kids to the grandparents? Now that I am one, I realize that it's been a while since I had any of them for more than a couple of days. Probably because most of them are teenagers...LOL. They have their own social lives.

Once I had the two girls for a week, and they had fun together.

Enjoy your time before the return...it will be great, but noisier than you remembered, probably...

Love the covers of your new books. Enjoy! Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

    1. I know, right? It is very normal around here. lol

She's been taking them to DQ (Dairy Queen) a lot because we don't have them in this area of NC. Hard to believe, I know! We don't go out very often, so it's nice she's treating them. :)

    1. I KNOW! *does happy dance that looks suspiciously like the peepee dance* I have to wait until I get back from OH to read it though. I won't have time before we leave and if I take it with me, well, no one will see me until I'm done. LOL

I think they probably would. :D

    1. I'm not sure how many more summers they will go. My daughter is graduating next year. That may be the last time they go since she'll probably be busy with college and the boys won't want to go without her.

      Thanks!

  13. So glad you are enjoying your alone time. It is hard when you are used to having the kiddos around and deciding what to do, we use to struggle with that. lol.
