Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a healthy and happy New Year!

I have completed my 2013 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I set a goal of 240 books and read 270. Go me! :) For 2014 I decided to up that goal by 10, so I will aim for 250. I didn't want to go crazy and then fall short.

I've read many excellent books this year, but I'm sorry to say I'm too lazy to make any lists. My goal for 2014 here on my blog is to be better organized and to stay ahead of the game. I have several reviews to write from where I gorged myself at the end of December, so those will be my stash, but otherwise I want to stay relaxed and not stress myself out. This blog makes me no money and yet it seems to take up a lot of my time. I'm changing that this year. This blog was supposed to be a fun hobby and it's gotten a bit stressful of late, but with some willpower to say 'No' occasionally to reviews and better time management (damn you Facebook!) I'll be able to continue with the reviews.

I leave you some words of wisdom from Captain Picard (well, sort of):

I intend to do just that, Captain. Warp speed ahead!

  4. Happy New Year! I'm awed and impressed by the number of books you read; I wish I could manage to read that many books in a year! You've set some great goals, especially regarding your blog. I'm all for keeping it fun and not stressful.

    1. I'm always impressed by the books people can read while working a full-time job. I don't work outside the home, so I have plenty of time to ignore household chores and read. lol

      Happy New Year! :)
