Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front

Sunday - Thursday ~ Ok, so here's the thing. I kept forgetting to update this post even though I have a reminder on my Finch app. And now it's Friday and I'm tired. So very tired. Of everything. *sigh* Anyway, besides all the usual bullshit I do that pertains to running this house and the people in it, I took Kyle to an app't Monday afternoon which meant picking him up at noon. After that we grabbed Trip and went to Greensboro because Kyle wanted to go to Build-A-Bear for a coworker who was in a bad car accident. While he was there, Trip and I hit up Barnes & Noble and then we all went in Five Below. The stores are all next to each other so that was easy. Then I took Kyle to work Weds because Anna went in early, Thursday because she had an app't, and Friday. I picked him up from the dentist's office Thursday because Anna had an app't and shopping afterwards. And she took Friday off to go camping this weekend with Chris at the beach since his birthday is coming up. Andrew and Larry came by Monday to pick up their truck, so that's out of the way. The porta potty was picked up Weds. On Tuesday Trip and I dismantled the last 2 canopies and moved the majority of equipment and stuff into the equipment shed. Just need new tires for mom's trailer and I need a seat for my garden tractor before we move those in. I think the squirrels have been chewing on it under the tarp. I hope the tractor will start. I haven't tried yet. We also moved the stuff from inside the kennel into the shed. We did the errands and grocery shopping on Weds. Thursday we finally did yardwork. I had been letting the weeds (we don't really have grass) flower so the pollinators would have something to nom on. But it was getting ridiculous in places so we did the main areas (me mowing, him weed eating) and I left the far area of the side yard, where we don't really go, alone with it's flowering weeds. I saw bees, butterflies, and dragonflies swooping around. We feed the critters every other day and I've been keeping the 3 bird baths full as well as an old tub because we are still in severe drought conditions. I've also been cutting up some oranges and apples for them. I need to set up my trail cams to see who is eating what.

Sorry. Different angle.

Friday ~ Today I'm just plain pooped out. I have so many things to do outside and have no desire or energy to do any of it. I took Kyle to work. Gassed up his car and picked up some Biscuitville on the way home. Then napped in my chair until 8:30. Anna was up and rushing around trying to get everything packed for her beach trip to Ocracoke Island. I fed the furries and walked the dogs then got on the computer to work on the post that was supposed to go up today. And failing. I've just been scrolling Insta and texting with my Brother, The Eldest. It's 1:30pm and I need to leave in an hour to pick up Kyle. I can either fuck off some more until then or try to get the post going. {200 years later} I did it! I finished the post, published it, and sprinkled it around the internet. I was a bit late leaving (2:40 instead of 2:30), but it was done and I still got there before Kyle walked out of the building. We had Bojangles for dinner since Kyle said he'd pay. Watched Lie to Me and went to bed around midnight, probably because I fell asleep in my chair for awhile.

Saturday ~ The dogs went to bed around 10pm so I didn't feel too bad about getting up around 8:45. Did the usual morning stuff and after walking the dogs I dropped Trip off at the park for Kyleigh's soccer tournament. They won at 10 and 11, so had to wait until 1 for the next game, but lost that one so it was all over for them. I managed to get my bathroom all cleaned before then so I picked Trip up and we stopped at Food Lion for hamburger patties for Kyle to grill today. Then I fucked off for a goodly amount of time before getting my ass into the laundry room to clean it and do litterboxes. It was technically Anna's turn but she's gone so I just did it and told her she owes me Panera noms. I refilled the Tiny Patrons' feeders and the bird baths, but it started to rain while I was finishing up the laundry room, so Trip and I never got out there to fill feeders. We'll do that tomorrow. The Hurricanes played at 3pm and they swept the Senators, so they'll be moving on to Round 2. Kyle grilled. I watched an episode of Lie to Me while eating then came back to this post.

Today I have about 300+/- towels to wash as well as my clothes and my bed stuff. So I'll change my bed then probably shower. Kyle always showers on Sunday morning and then does his laundry, so I'll wait until he's done before doing my stuff. Anna has hogged all my laundry baskets so I'll probably put away her clothes so I can get the baskets back. She says she's coming back Monday instead of today because of the "inconvenient" ferry service. Not sure what else I'll do, but I'm thinking of sitting in my chair and reading. And hopefully not falling asleep.

New Year's Resolutions/Goals
I thought I'd keep a weekly record of these so I can see if anything is getting done. 😆
More reading, less tv ~ Not really though I went through several audios.
Go back to the beginning and revamp old blog posts ~ Nothing this week.
Exercise ~ Only working outside.
Tidy up outside ~ Yes. Did some of that.

Touching Nature:  Mornings were good but heated up during the day.

Book News:  Just audiobooks again this week and I've written zero reviews. Ugh.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Finished Bones.  Jumped back to Lie to Me, but Cal Lightman is so insufferable. Also, Carolina Hurricanes playoff hockey.

At the Flicks: Nope.

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, the Finch app - if anyone wants to be friends just let me know.

Randomness:   Um...vampire?

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Everything is shit here in the US (and around the world), but there is an Instagram account I follow that helps makes things brighter. Go check out amandasmildtakes. Trust me. She lets us know that it's not a lost cause to oust the pieces of shit who worship billionaires and power over We the People.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.
