Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:  I did an awful lot of blog work this week. Drafting so many posts and writing some reviews. The architect came to do some final measurements. We should have the completed plans soon. We went through 6 or 7 revisions. Eek. Then he'll do the garage plans. After that, we'll get some estimates. Not doing anything until next year, but time is flying. It'll be here before we know it. Grocery pick up on Thursday. Cleaning on Friday and Saturday. Mowing Friday (Trip did the weed eating) and put some plants in planters. (pic below) Kyle bought us Zaxby's for dinner Friday and Domino's Saturday since those are non-cooking days for me. I'm not complaining. lol

Today I pick Anna up from the airport. She's been in Arizona a little over 2 weeks. Now she'll need to look for a new job. At least she can get her drivers license renewed, get the title done on her car, and find a new therapist without having to take off work. Silver linings, right?

Touching Nature: It's been absolutely gorgeous. Too bad it's going to jump to the 80s this coming week. Why, oh why, can't we have at least a month of this kind of weather? I mowed the flowering weeds (sorry bees!) and got some plants in planters. Also rearranged some of mom's garden stuff. Anna and I will hopeflully plant some seeds this week. Some flowers and veggies.

Book News: Got many posts drafted. I still have reviews to write though I did whittle away at a few. Driving Kyle to and from work I'm at least getting some audiobook time in. I listen when he's not in the car. So, after I drop him off in the morning and before I pick him up in the afternoon. About 50 minutes to an hour each day. It's kinda nice. Maybe I won't make him start practicing driving just yet.

Don't Touch That Dial!:  Still watching rewatching Supernatural. Just finished season 1. Watching The Mentalist with husband. Anna will be home today, so we'll probably start back up with Bones.

At the Flicks: Nope. But I wouldn't mind seeing the Ghostbusters movie.

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: When you're so tired of everyone's shit...

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Eeep, we're having some renovations done at home as well, so that's cool! I'm so stoked, though it may take a year or two for things to finish up here on our end. :) So jealous of your weather there, too! It's BURNING UP where I live... it's so hard to get any work done when you feel like you're melting into a puddle. 😂 Have another awesome week ahead! :)

    1. Good luck with the renovations! Ugh. I hate hot weather! I mean, at least in the cold you can add layers. When it's too hot and you strip down to your skin, what else is there to do except melt? lol

  2. We still waiting on the lawn renovation to get started. The natural gas company is having an issue finding the gas line. They are getting two readings one for the back yard and one for the front yard. So they have to come out and dig and if it in the backyard it may need to be rerouted. The weather is still not to bad here we been in the mid 70’s but we usually get hot pretty quickly. Hope you have a great reading week.

    1. Omg, don't you hate when stuff like that happens? I mean, how is that even possible? I hope your weather stays lovely.

  3. I'm excited about the planning but the actual construction is generally not fun. I hope it goes well for you. I did the BBYNA signup but haven't heard anything yet. My garden is growing well and it's time to plant all the stuff now, even the ones that don't like cool weather so I planted more basil. Happy reading!

    1. I'm equally excited and dreading the renovations, but I have about a year before I have to deal with it all. I thought about not spending as much money and doing it a bit at a time, but I really don't think my nerves (or those of the furries) can handle having several upheavals instead of one big one. lol I'll go ask about the BBNYA. It might have fallen through the cracks.

  4. The garden planters look great! I miss having plants, but I'm so busy during the summer that I'd probably never see them. Have a great week!
