--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: More running around and wrapping of presents, but we're ready. Just need to make some food today because tomorrow I don't cook. Well, much. We eat mostly leftovers from today.

Kids are off school and hubby is off work until the 2nd. So I'm taking a break from the blog until the 31st. I'm trying to get a Monster Porn Monday post ready for the 1st, but I may have to push it back to the 8th. I know, you'll be disappointed not to start off the New Year with Monster Porn, but don't despair just yet. I may have something by then. LOL

Touching Nature: It got windy and warm with a bit of rain, but it's supposed to get chilly again which is good because who the fuck wants 70º and rain on Christmas?! Yeah, not this transplanted Yankee. If I can't have it white I at least need to freeze my ass off.

Book News: I have read nothing yet I have three book reviews to write. Just 2 graphic novels from the library and a beta read and I'll probably get them done today, but still. That means I read them awhile ago. *coughs*

Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I have been watching Arrow and this weekend we managed to watch Elf, The Year Without Santa, Home Alone and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (the REAL one, not that Jim Carrey abomination). Today's menu will be Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolf, Polar Express and It's a Wonderful Life. And tomorrow is A Christmas Story. That's more than we managed to watch last year. :)

At the Flicks: STAR WARS ON TUESDAY!!! Yes, I'm a bit excited.

Cyberspace Playground: Pokémon GO is the name of the game around here. We all went to downtown Greensboro Friday and walked around catching new ones and after the movie on Tuesday we're going to Burlington Park to play.

Randomness: My 18-yr-old son continues his 18 year Santa tradition. My husband's work has Santa every year (with a present and goodie bag) and while Trip may not get presents from Santa anymore, he doesn't care. He just wants a picture with the Big Man. lol

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Take time for you. Sometimes that time means locking the bathroom door and telling everyone you're taking a shit when really you're just chillin'. So be it.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  8. That's so great that Trip still gets his photo taken with Santa. Not many teens - especially boys - want to do that. So is the whole family now in on Pokemon GO? I guess the cat is out of the bag? Our weather is taking a drastic dip down below freezing for tomorrow. I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays!
