My Rating ~ 2 bites and a nibble
Author Sarah Phoenix and her dermatologist hubby
Dr. Johnny McDonald lose everything when their house catches fire after their
neighbor’s house is fire bombed. But it’s not until after this loss that the
hits keep coming for Sarah. Will she be able to pick up the pieces or not?
This story is very meh. There’s no suspense,
very little forward momentum, the characters are wooden and the ending…wtf. No.
This thing tries so hard, too hard really, but only ends up in Mediocreville.
It’s told in 1st person from Sarah’s POV and what a fucking whiner
she is. Gah. Skip it, friends. You aren’t missing anything.
