A year after Edmund Blithe died he came back from the dead. He doesn’t remember dying, so he’s very confused. First, because, well, he was dead. And second because he’s somehow back. All he wants is to see his fiancĂ©e, Emily, but the government is holding him hostage. They want answers and they don’t mind strong arming Edmund in order to get them. Even if he has none. Emily was just managing to move on with her life when Edmund made his reappearance. Now she needs to see him, but since they weren’t yet married she can get no answers. It’s up to Edmund and a guard he befriends to bust out and find her. But what’s next?

This is a very short story about a guy returning from the dead, the gubermint being the gubermint and his love who tries to see him. There are no answers and it jumps a bit, so I’m a little confused as to what in the hell I listened to. Maybe I need to continue on and it’ll get clearer. Right now it’s about as clear as mud. I do love the narrator though. He has a yummy voice. I swear I’ve listened to other books he’s narrated, but I can’t for the life of me think of which one(s).

  1. Wowzers! This sounds like a creepy read lol perks for a yummy narrator though. Some audiobooks I've listened to may as well have been lullabies lol
