AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Lots of running around in prep for Christmas. I had to put real clothes on, leave my home and deal with John Q Public more than I deem acceptable.
Touching Nature: I need to do some work on my garden and my tomato bed. I might do that today. Maybe. But probably not. Yesterday we were outside using power tools to cut and sand wood for Jessica's bookcases,I vacuumed both vehicles and for the grand finale, we had a bonfire complete with s'mores. 75º in December is just wrong though. Bloody weather.
Book News: I'm catching up on my Goodreads Challenge. I'm now only 1 book behind. Woot! Two more weeks and I can share my blog news. I could share now if I wanted, but I'm being evil to you guys.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Hubby & I managed to restart our stalled watch of Buffy & Angel. We watched 10 episodes of Season 6 of Buffy and 6 episodes of Season 3 of Angel. :) Other than that and the 1 episode of Bones every school morning, I got nothing.
At the Flicks: Not yet...getting so close now...
Cyberspace Playground: You tell 'em, Colbert!

Doesn't it suck having to go out this time of year? Too many people, the malls are swamped... a little goes a long way. :) A bonfire in Dec? Jealous. 75 sounds good, we were 50's this week and that's pretty good for here. :)
ReplyDeleteWord is, there's a big movie coming out next week. Are you guys seeing it right away?
It really does. I'm done though. Woot!
DeleteWe're going Monday. Trying to avoid spoilers, but there are too many assholes on the internet.
Wait ... you put real clothes on to go out in public? I knew I was doing something wrong. Oh my god, please send me your temps!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could just go out in my jammies. But I gotta draw the line somewhere for civilization. lol
DeleteYou have blog news? Evil temptress! :( Putting on clothes and going out in public is so over-rated. :( It's been warm here too and I love it. I don't need no stinking cold or snow or ice. But I like s'mores so feel free to share. :D
ReplyDeleteIt's here! And yes, I am quite the Evil Temptress. :D
DeleteLooking forward to your blog news..and you are evil to tease us so. Ha- I love Monty Python. Our weather had been so weird..It has been raining since yesterday. Good luck with Goodreads my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost that time of year when I watch The Holy Grail. :D I totally cheated and lowered my number. Oh, well. Maybe next year. :)
DeleteI can't wait to hear your blog news! MWAHAHAHAHAH!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox
Hehehehehe! We're so bad!
DeleteWow 75 degrees in December. It is finally chilly here in California so it is finally starting to feel like Christmas. I can't wait to hear your blog news!!! Have a great week (and hopefully you won't have to go out again lol).
ReplyDeleteIt's been ridiculously warm. My wallet loves the electric bill though. lol
DeleteI really fancy reading Mary Roach's books, Packing for Mars looks good as does this one, Bonk is such a great title!
ReplyDeleteI read Packing for Mars and it was informative and pretty funny. So I can't wait to read her other books. :D
DeleteI'm going to have to go out to the stores to do some shopping. Need some deas and the only way to get them is to go looking. Been hot here too. I hope it stays temperate through the holidays.

I'm done shopping! Woot! I want snow for Christmas but it looks like we're going to be in the 70s. Normal December temps are 50s. It's too warm for this time of year. How are all the bugs going to die off if it doesn't get cold?!
DeleteLoving the warm weather we are having and it could continue straight through to summer and I would be happy. :-)

I need bugs to die, so we need some freezing weather. lol Though I quite like the low electric bill.
