--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: I'm pretty sure I'm done Christmas shopping. If I'm not, well, fuck it. I have wrapping to do and I'll bake more cookies, but I'll be doing that this week. The kids were officially on break as of Friday afternoon. They don't go back until Jan. 5th and it was a pleasure turning off the weekday alarm.

Touching Nature: Other than unseasonably warm temps (60s & 70s), there's nothing to see here. Move along.

Book News: You may have noticed a new look to the blog. How do you like it? I have to give high praise to Michelle at Limabean Designs. Talk about going above and beyond. I lurve her! Want a new meme, button or header? I can't talk her up enough. Hire her quick! In other news, with so much going on I decided to cheat on my Goodreads and BookLikes challenges. I dropped my number from 250 to the 235 I already had finished since I was fairly confident I would not be able to read 15 books between now and the 31st with Christmas and stuff going on. Of course, now that I've altered the terms of the agreement, I'll probably plow through them with no problem. lol And lastly, I apologize for the slow response to comments and lack of visitation. I hope to make the rounds today. :)

Don't Touch That Dial!: Hubby and Trip continued their Arrow marathon and they are way ahead of me. I need an Arrow marathon soon. And Supernatural. And Buffy/Angel. LOL

At the Flicks: So some big movie came out this weekend, but we're not going until Monday. Almost...there...

Cyberspace Playground: Other than going blind looking at colors and their HTML codes and too many font choices, I got nothin' for here.

Randomness: This. Just this. Why are you hitting yourself? Stop hitting yourself. *snort, giggle*

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I agree, Michelle is the bomb! Your new design is so sleek, nice, pretty and light! I love it, too!
My kids still have school until Wednesday at noon, but then, they're off until January 11th. I wish they were already on vacation, though, so we could leave for Norway already. I'm so impatient to see my mom and my sister, it's not even funny!
Your new books look great, and I hope you'll enjoy them.
Have a wonderful Christmas and happy reading, Carol.

  2. Kirk was awesome! That's all there is... :) Love the new design, looks great. Good job Michelle! And I'll take 70's here. We're a bit... lower than that. :) Although snow on Christmas Eve would be nice... not too much.

I'm up to S4 on Flash but have not watched any of 4 yet. Er, Arrow rather. Kinda looking forward to Legends of Tomorrow...

  3. WOW! That Michelle did a really good job, I bet she is still blushing from all the sweet things you said about her mad skills. Love how it looks all put together! I hope she starts on the other feature logos soon, I think she will after Christmas, ;)

It was way to warm this week and today my toes are like little icicles, thank goodness for cozy socks.

Have a great week, Carol! Merry Christmas & Happy Reading!!! ox

  4. I love the new design. Looks great. I have warm temps where I'm at in Ohio too. Though it has been normal winter-like temps for the last few days, but starting tomorrow, it will be back in the 50s and 60s.

I love that Kirk gif, snort snicker giggle. I also got Roane and Delicate Ink but passed on the others.

School breaks, sigh. I miss those; my school is closed only for Christmas and then for New Year's Day.

    Merry Christmas!

I still have two more presents to wrap, but beside that I am done with christmas shopping and wrapping. We also have very mild winter weather, it doens't really feel like winter.
