AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

I'm getting the urge to start typing, so I think I may be ready to start writing up reviews and drafting blog posts this week and heading straight out of Slumpsville. So...yay? Ok, yes, yay! I have hopes that I will have 2 Monster Porn Mondays this month since I never could summon the energy to do one in April. While I'm about 17 books behind on my Goodreads Challenge and I have like 21 reviews to write, I do believe I can knock a bunch off this week with the graphic novels I picked up from the library. *see below* It helps tremendously that they are Buffy related. LOL My plan is to put a big dent in the writing of reviews and drafting of posts then rewarding myself with the graphic novels. I am not known for my powers of restraint so this should be interesting. :D I'm also hoping to visit other blogs. Something I haven't done in about 2 months now. I'll be taking it slow though. I don't want to get overwhelmed again.

In other news, yesterday was a fine day and we were outside getting shit done. I weeded 3 beds and they are ready for planting. I got filthy, saw numerous worms, bugs, bees, 1 frog and 1 baby copperhead which I had my son relocate to the abandoned house down the street. We also got other long overdue outside work done. And I am paying today in sore muscles. Eeeee... Today will be another fine day and I may or may not be outside again. I do have tons of laundry to do and the bathroom to clean, but hubby and I have a couple projects to build outside, so we may force ourselves out. At least it's gorgeous.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

This is my worst slump ever. So depressing. But slowly coming out of it. MPM helps. LOL

I was sore for days! But it was a good sore. Now just need to get my plants and we'll be good to go.

  5. You know, I never got into Buffy. I suspect I need to track down the original TV series -- perhaps on Netflix -- and see what I missed. Enjoy your haul.

    1. I gave it the big pass when it came out. Wasn't interested. However, I'm now obsessed. See? That's what happens when you wait 18 yrs to watch a show. LOL If you do watch it (Netflix has it and Angel), beware that the 1st season isn't all that great. It was a mid-season replacement with a very small budget, but it gets better. And I just love the humor.

  7. I loved the show but haven't thought about reading any as I'm not a graphic novel fan. Although... I've never tried them, so I perhaps should take the plunge!

    1. I enjoy graphic novels. I don't read many (I'm very picky), but these look decent and I love how it continues the show in novel form. Gives me my fix. LOL I woul dlove to start from the beginning with the graphic novels, but my library doesn't have them. *pouts*
