Four strangers connected in
some odd way have to figure out how to battle evil and win the day.
This is one strange story. I
had a hard time figuring it out. Actually, I had a hard time figuring anything
out and the switching POV is very unconventional. A lot of the time I was thrown
into another head without warning. The plot is definitely interesting though, even
if the execution is confusing. It was like stepping into someone’s head while
they’re dreaming and trying to navigate through the events in progress. I
totally don’t get the ending either. I did enjoy the characters. Especially
Zack. His attitude and humor bumps this story up from a 2 to a 3 for me. While
it is unquestionably creative, it just isn’t something I could completely wrap
my head around. I blame my grey matter and not the author. Well, not totally. I
do think the shifting POVs could be better done to avoid mass confusion. If you
want a trippy paranormal horror tale, even if it stumbles a bit, then I
recommend this one.
I think I'm too tired these days to read this kind of book, but it looks like an interesting author :)
