AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

So, I mentioned last week that Jessica has come to live with us. We spent practically the whole week running around getting things done and tomorrow we'll hopefully get the last of the official paperwork and shit complete and she'll be ready to start the new semester at the high school on Tues. As such, I should be able to go back to my mostly sedentary lifestyle cuz I gotta tell ya, I do not like running around. At one point, in the middle of the week, my husband sent a text quoting Spongebob. Smartass.

In other related news, I got nothing done on the blog. No reviews, no posts, very little reading. So I should be able to work more on that stuff this week. I hope. Because those reviews aren't going to write themselves. Unfortunately.

Last, but certainly not least, Cutie Kyleigh came for a visit yesterday. There was much fun to be had and, of course, books. Hard to believe the little squirt will be 1 year old in just one month. Where does the time go?!

  1. Time is on serious fast forward when it comes to little kids! It's not fair. I'm sure you'll be glad to have all the stuff with Jessica squared away so you can just get back to your normal routine. Have a great week!

  2. I so cannot believe she will be one this year! I am glad things are getting sorted. My life is about to get crazy particularly in May since I will be quitting work outside of the home and taking care of my grandbaby when my daughter returns to work. I am starting up an author's assailant business as well. 2015 is going to be interesting indeed. Hopefully your life returns to a semi-normal state this week.

    1. Ikr! And now you have a grandbaby! Sophia is so adorable!

Um, author's assailant business? Is that where readers get to flog writers for cliffhangers, poor plotting, TSTL characters and other miscellany? hehehe

  3. Little Kyleigh is definitely cute :) I remember when my daughters were babies, time goes so fast, it's crazy ! It would be great if review could write themselves with us just moving our noses, right ? Alas... Have a great week !

    1. Everyone needs their own personal Tardis, right? lol And how cool would it be to just think the review and the computer types it up? O.O :D

  4. It's amazing how fast kids grow, and how much they change in very little time!

I hadn't seen that Maggie Shayne book you received, but I love her writing, so I need to check it out soon.

Good luck on getting those reviews written, and getting your sedentary lifestyle back :)

Have a fantastic Sunday and a great week.

    1. It constantly amazes me. :)

I've been collecting her books for awhile now. I really need to read more of them. Can we get like 30 hrs in a day? lol

I'm sorta back to my usual routine. Kinda. It's close. LOL

  6. It's really awesome to see how fast that Kayleigh has grown. Children grow up so fast. It looks like a busy week can throw anyone's plan in disarray. I hope you get those reviews written this week.

  7. Glad you are getting your errands done -- that comes before blogging! Especially when family is the reason. The blog will not be the one helping you in your old age! Unless, robots are really big then and your blog becomes a robot. I am nuts! http://fangswandsandfairydust.com/2015/01/sunpo-1-25-15.html

    1. LOL So true! But...robots? Wait! Why can't we have robots NOW that cook and clean and stuff, so I have more time for the blog?! Where's Rosie from the Jetsons?! :D

  8. Ooh, I know the feeling! Some weeks it's impossible to get anything done. Sometimes it feels like each little thing I do, ten more are added to the list! I wish reviews were self-writing, that would be AMAZING! I'm 10 books behind right now, and I'm trying not to think about writing reviews... it'll absolutely terrify me if I stop to think about it for too long! Hope things go a bit smoother for you this week!

    1. I wouldn't mind one day a week running around, but she needed a lot of paperwork done, but it's all been accomplished. At least it's an unusual week and not a typical week. I might go nuts otherwise. LOL I think I'm in the vicinity of a baker's dozen behind. Eeep!

    1. Ikr! I can't believe it either! Once Jessica's settled into school, my schedule should ease down. Well, today is a catch up day. We're still waiting for her old school to send grades over. I am not impressed with that school at all. Anyway, I managed to work in 2 short stories as therapy. :) Of course, that means I added 2 reviews to the list, but I'll take it. LOL

We haven't watched Spongebob in a long time, but every once in awhile a quote pops into our conversation. :D

  11. You got a lot of freebies this week. Life gets so busy sometimes. I just started following you not that long ago and I still can't believe she is already going to be one. I wish kids would just stop growing. My neighbors grandson is already going to be two in March.

Wait, wut?! No temptations this week? Challenge accepted. *runs off to look for freebies*
