--- AVR News Update ---

On the Home Front: Lots of chauffeuring and some errands. We tried Friday to get Anna a road test, but the DMV is fucking ridiculous! They have like 7 employees stations, but only 2 employees. Maybe 3 at times, but there were 50 people waiting! We waited for 1.5 hrs before giving up. We're going early tomorrow morning to a different location. Hopefully the wait won't be as long and we'll walk out of there with Anna a licensed driver.

Touching Nature: Gravel, gravel, and oh, look! More gravel. It was too fucking hot to be moving gravel around, but we got it done. Yay! The video isn't the best. The smoke and dust make it hard to see what's happening. When we get more gravel in the Spring I'll try to get a better video.

Book News: I finished a few books, but have several reviews to write and posts to draft. I'm currently 29 books behind schedule. Gah! I need to finish one today to stay below 30! Red Alert! Danger, Will Robinson, danger!

Don't Touch That Dial!: Managed to squeeze in some more NCIS here and there. With hubby off this week I'm hoping to sneak in a lot more. I gotta admit, I love when Tony gets the ol' Gibbs slap. hehe

At the Flicks: Bupkis

Cyberspace Playground: I'm not sure why the video shows the bra thing because it's not actually in the video, but still, this is hilarious.
New relationship vs long term

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: The older I get the more I realize, there are *always* going to be assholes out there who don't give a flying fuck about you, your family or anything else but themselves. So, relax, breathe deep and just let Karma take care of them. Trust me. It may take awhile, but they always get theirs in the end. Just like Beni in The Mummy.
Evelyn: You know, nasty little fellows such as yourself always get their comeuppance.
Beni: *scoffs, then pauses* They do?
Evelyn: *leans in closer* Always.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Fingers Crossed Anna gets her license! *crossing fingers, toes and eyes*
My husband love NCIS. I can't even tell you how many times he has watched them and even watches all the new ones not sure how he feels about this upcoming season with an almost new cast but I guess we will see. I do love Tony but I have a weakness for Gibbs

Long term Relationship pretty much describes me and my husband perfectly ;)

    Love the Mummy!

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! oxox

  2. Wow, what a mess with the DMV! Fingers crossed it goes much better tomorrow!

Yay gravel!! *happy dance* sorry the heat made it suck so much lol!

That video was hilarious and so incredibly true. Though I NEVER did the makeup thing! If you want a woman that rolls out of bed looking perfect, enjoy your life alone lol :) Have a great week!

  4. Yep, heat and yard work don't mix, but at least you got a bit done. I'm staying around 17-18 books behind on the Goodreads reading challenge, so I know how you feel. Have a good week. :)

  6. I'm thirsting for all of your new reads! I was in the pool this afternoon and looking around at all the plans I have for when fall really arrives. I've surpassed my Goodreads Challenge but I did sign up to read less books this year so it would be more fun and less stressful.

  7. I am glad it was pretty dead when I went to get my license. Waiting 1.5 hours and still not being assisted is beyond ridiculous. I've seen the new/longterm relationship video before and I agree. I thought the couple that made it were cute!
