--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Jessica has finished her high school obligations and even though she turned 19 at the end of December she is now *officially* an adult with a high school diploma. We're proud that she stuck it out when it would have been so easy to give up. She's learning how to do this adult thing pretty good. :)

Touching Nature: It's been chilly, but fairly normal for this time of year. Nothing much to report here.

Book News: I've done a lot of reading, drafted some posts and wrote some reviews. I now have 5 reviews to write, but I'm hoping to get those done today. My eyes hate me for reading so much this week, so I'm going to give them a little break. I need to draft a few more posts and do some scheduling, too. I have a ton of posts ready (all graphic novels), but no date assigned to them yet.

Don't Touch That Dial!: 9 more episodes down of our Supernatural rewatch. We should be able to get some more done this week since the kids only have school Tues & Weds. I really miss those Winchester boys!

At the Flicks: Not yet.

Cyberspace Playground: Not a thing. Don't look at me like that! I'm telling the truth!

Randomness:  Oh, soooooo many!

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Moist comes to mind, I hate that word ;)

Congrats to Jessica on Adulting! I don't know her but I am also proud of her for sticking to it.

The weather is just stupid and needs to just stop already, I can't said Bi-Polar weather it makes my sinuses hurt.

I have so much to do blog-wise. My blog is still very temperamental and I hope it's fixed today because it's driving me crazy.

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox

  3. Congrats on your daughter completing her diploma. I know that is a huge step towards adulting. I've written three reviews today. I'm hoping to get a few posts scheduled today. I plan to see The Hateful Eight tonight. I have tomorrow off, so hoping to get some stuff done then too.

  5. Congrats to your daughter for getting her diploma! It's a great acomplishment! Here the weather's been a bit colder, I was so happy I decided to dress warm when I went out for grocery shopping as it was chilly outside. Good luck with getting those reviews written!
And no new books, that's nice! I could use a week like that, but I can't stay away form netgalley and some books I ordered are arriving. I hope you'll have a great week!

  6. Many congratulations to your daughter! You must be so proud of her. :-) I feel like I'm running behind on posts and reviews. Hopefully I can find time to get ahead a little this next week. It's always hard for me on holiday weekends like this one because I don't get as much computer time to myself. I hope you have a great week!

  8. Oh, love that sex scenes meme! I can think of so many - also the weird names they use for body parts!

Congrats to Jessica for finishing high school. I hope you're all deservedly proud.
