AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

Spring is here in NC and that of course meant temps in the 80s this past week because Mother Nature is a bitch who likes to torture us. I refused to turn on the A/C (it's APRIL for fuck's sake!), so with no leaves on the trees yet we sweltered most of the week. This coming week is supposed to be much more the thing with temps in the 70s. Unfortunately, we're also supposed to get a ton of rain, so there will be no going outside to enjoy it or getting the planting started. Maybe most of it will pass us by. Who knows?

Spring break is officially over and the last grading quarter is starting for the kids. There are 46 more days of school left and only 44 more days until my daughter graduates. 2015 is a bit more than 1/4 complete and the time flies faster the older I get. So not fair.

I'm enjoying my continued break from the blog though I do have 16 reviews to write as of this moment. None are time sensitive, so I'll get them written for next month and just keep relaxing. I do have housework to get done today and some work for InD'tale Magazine to do, but if I have time I'll whip up some reviews. Monster Porn Monday should be next Monday 4/20 (hehe 420). I picked and read 4 books, but they really don't fit the niche of monster porn. They're sort of on the fringes of Wicked Weds and MPM, so I'm scratching my head as to where to put them.  Probably WW.

Jessica bought an elliptical, so we'll be stepping up the exercise. I think I'll alternate days with it and the treadmill. I have them side-by-side, but I need to switch them around because the elliptical sits a bit too high and the dining room light is getting in the way. I'm thinking of replacing it with a ceiling fan, but in the meantime swapping places should take care of hitting our heads on the chandelier.

And finally, on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer front, I only watched a few episodes this week. With the kids home on break they hogged the living room tv with shows, movies and Xbox. That's ok though. I needed a break. The closer I get to the end of the series the slower I want to watch the episodes. LOL

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I got Boundary Crossed also :) We were in the 50s last week and 60s this week. I can wait on 80s, I like 70s the best. Enjoy your break and have a great week.

  2. Both of my kids will finally be back in school this week, they each had a different week off so it's been a crazy two weeks. I also wish the weather would just pick a temp since I want to do my garden and looking ahead at the next couple of weeks I wont be able to get anything planted until May and I don't like waiting that long but I might do the soil first just to get it ready for the plants.

Buffy is my favorite and I was so sad when it was officially over. I do watch them whenever I get the chance on Netflix and I have all the box sets :) Just remember once it's over you could always watch it again :)

Have a great week! Happy Reading!! oxox

  3. Gah. Yeah I was happy with a little warm but it got ridiculous hot this week for April. I was not pleased about sweating IN the house. lol Hopefully the rain won't be too bad.

  4. LOL, we have the air on but Sophia moved in this week and I cannot have her sweating..plus if I open the windows my son and husband will die from allergies..so the air is on to take out humidity. So sad. The weather is crazy we had snow one day and 85 the next...Mother Nature is hormonal!

  6. Our weather can't make up it's mind either. We had a week of really nice weather, giving me the chance to go away for a couple of day trips and the next day it is so cold and wet that you don't want to move. Enjoy your books!
