Gideon

Gideon (Nightwalkers, #2)
   ~ Jacquelyn Frank
Publisher ~ Zebra Paranormal Romance
Published ~ 1 June 2007

My Rating ~ 4 out of 5

Magdalegna is the Demon King’s youngest sister. When their parents died when Legna was very young he raised her and protected her. Now that Legna has Imprinted with the oldest male of their kind, a man of great power, one who is held in awe and some fear, Gideon, the King has to learn to let her go because an Imprinting cannot be denied.

Well-written, smooth-flowing, excellent plot and a continuation of my enjoyment of the interesting characters inhabiting this world, Gideon is an excellent second installment in the Nightwalker series. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, is that there was a tendency of repetition reminiscent of Christine Feehan in her Carpathian series. Not a lot of repetition, but enough to be noticeable. I hope Ms Frank doesn’t get into that habit because while I enjoy the Carpathians, that level of repetition does make one weary. So far, it’s not that bad in the Nightwalker series.

I look forward to continuing with Book 3, Elijah. From the description it sounds like it’s going to be an excellent one!

  2. Thank you! I am enjoying the series so far. I won't have time to read book 3 for awhile though and that's a bummer! :(
