--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

Happy 20th Birthday to my youngest, Kyle!! (on Tuesday)

On the Home Front: Had some app'ts this week, but nothing time-consuming. Also went to another FotL sale, appt only. I didn't find anything for myself but I did grab some books I thought Kyle would like and hubby picked up a bunch of history books. Worked outside on Thursday and put up Halloween decorations yesterday. I also made my first pot of chili of the season yesterday. That's pretty much my week.

Touching Nature: Cooler which has been nice. It did get into the low 80s Weds and Thurs, but I went out on Thurs and burned the brush pile. There may have been a little help from my buddy Kerosene. Leafageddon has also commenced. My trusty sidekick, Backpack Blower, and I engaged in a minor skirmish with the leafy horde and sent them skittering to the woods. Rain started early Saturday morning and it's supposed to be around until Monday.

Book News: Tuesday's Kissing the Corona Virus Kindle Review was my 1700th blog post. Which I find weirdly appropriate and hilarious. LOL I rec'd my copy of Dune from the Folio Society and it sure is purty. I didn't have a chance to take pics yet, but I'll share next Sunday.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Some Perry Mason. Closing in on finishing those DVDs up. Then we can go back to Supernatural. Also, just waiting for The Mandalorian Season 2 to come out on the 30th.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Checking the weather forecast makes for an easier scheduling of outside work so you can work around any rain. That's if the forecast is actually correct which doesn't happen as often as it should. But hey. That's on them.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. I hope Kyle had a great birthday! I saw your decorations and it looks nice and spooky.
The weather has been so nice around here but still a little too warm in the afternoon. I can't wait for the cooling off to at least 50s all day. Our leaves are still on the trees, for now.

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx
