Kinksters Unite!

A Request To Our Faithful Readers...

As some of you already know, we have had problems with major retailers banning our books. Pink Flamingo Publications has always strove to publish what our readers want. Some of those books include non-consensual or harder books that may have content that some people deem offensive. The major retailers, such as Amazon, Apple, and Google Books are now taking it upon themselves to determine what you find offensive. Even though our books are pure fiction, if they have non-con or even fantasies of non-consensual acts, they are being kicked off the websites. This is not just effecting Pink Flamingo, but other erotica publishers as well.

We understand that the retailers have made it quite easy on customers to get our books, especially with their 1-click buttons. But when they make our content harder to find, unless you’re a searching guru or they just take our books down, what will our customers or any erotica book lovers do?

Our request is simple. If you want to keep seeing the books that you love, from the authors you want to read, please buy the books directly from the publisher or from Indie Retailers. We have quite a few Indie Retailers that will be happy to help you find the books you want and need.

Please spread the word. It is your right to pick what you want to read and what you find offensive.

AVR here: I agree with the above message otherwise I wouldn't be urging everyone to use the links provided to buy the books you want. I use All Romance quite a bit and Smashwords, too. I haven't yet had the opportunity to use the other links, but I have heard about them. I do have them bookmarked for when I want to go shopping for something that the majority of the population considers 'inappropriate reading material.' Well, guess what? I don't give a shit what people think of what I read. I'll read what I want when I want and if I can't get those books on Amazon (I don't buy from Google or Apple anyway) then I'll give my money to the retailers and publishers who have them. We kinksters may be a fairly small community, but it's still lost revenue for Amazon and its brethren. Too bad for them. Not.

  1. I do think it's crazy to limit what types of books you sell. It just seems to push into banning book territory, and I hate that.

    1. I think it's crazy, too. But they have the right sell or not sell whatever they want and I have the right to shop elsewhere. I wanted to make sure that people knew where they could get their naughty books when the Big Guys weren't providing them. *winks*

    1. I agree. If something is offensive to me then guess what? I don't buy it. Jeez. It's a simple thing really. Everyone likes different things, for Pete's sake.

  3. There are some books I would agree to being 'banned' ie. publications endorsing racial hatred, but erotica? Come on! As long as it is appropriately labelled I really fail to see the problem.

    1. Exactly. As long as the books have tags/labels then I don't see the problem.
